College Automotive Program

The automotive industry needs talented Service Technicians that are self-motivated, technically proficient, possess good mechanical aptitude and are willing to develop the process-oriented thinking skills required in a successful automotive service career.  Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealerships are looking for Service Technicians that desire a career that requires them to be at their best each and every day while, at the same time, enjoying the opportunity and challenge of working around technologically sophisticated cars and trucks on a regular basis.  As a military veteran, you already have the work ethics and many of the skill sets required to be a successful employee in a Chrysler dealership.

The Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP) is a nationwide effort to prepare our next generation of Service Technicians with the technical training and employability skills necessary to be successful while working in a Chrysler dealership.  Chrysler’s CAP provides valuable internship experience along with classroom instruction.  Students rotate between class time and sponsoring dealership time over a 2-year period as they fulfill the requirements of an Associates Degree in Automotive Service Technology (or equivalent).

The key to any successful career is education, and with CAP being offered at 27 community colleges and universities in 24 states, earning a college degree has never been easier.  While attending CAP, students learn exclusively on Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles, as well as utilize tools, equipment and diagnostic processes that are used every day in a dealership work environment.

All CAP colleges are accredited institutions and CAP Instructors are Chrysler-trained, experienced professionals.  Academic courses are an integral part of the CAP curriculum at each college, ensuring the development of well-rounded and technically proficient individuals as they start their career in a Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealership.

In as little as 18 months and 90 credit hours, students earn a 2-year Associates Degree in Automotive Technology (or equivalent).  In addition to CAP graduates receiving an Associates Degree, successful completion of the college CAP curriculum earns each graduate a substantial number of training credit hours in the Chrysler Technical Training Skill Core Curriculum.

CAP is an excellent way to combine product knowledge with mechanical aptitude skills as you develop into a highly demanded service specialist at one of over 3,500 Chrysler dealerships nationwide.  There is no better time than now to start your career in the automotive service industry!

The Chrysler College Automotive Program (CAP) philosophy is a simple one – To develop the best trained and skilled workforce in the automotive industry to service Chrysler vehicles.
