Who Should Attend Technicians who will be diagnosing and servicing Chrysler vehicle base braking systems and antilock braking systems must complete this course. In this course the technician will also have on understanding of electrical components related to the system. When the electrical section is complete, the technician will be able to properly diagnose an electrical concern for this system. Benefits Technicians that complete this course will receive information on base brake system operation, including master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, proportioning valves and will provide the technician with the fundamental knowledge and the purpose and operation of typical antilock brake systems (ABS). This course covers the hydraulic and mechanical aspects of base brake system operation. The technican will be exposed to ABS inputs, outputs, controller initialization, diagnostics, and communications. An explanation of traction control and electronic brake distribution. is also provided. This course will properly prepare the technician for the next higher level course.
